MOUNT OLIVE -- Nell Kennedy Adams, 83 passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice center in Goldsboro.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Currin and his wife, Phyllis, of Smithfield; a daughter, Penny A. Herring and her husband, Curtis, of Mount Olive; a sister, Ruby Gilmore of Port St. Joe, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge and Mary Blackstock Kennedy and her husband, James Adams.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev Steven Wicks officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, and at other times at Mrs. Adams' residence on Country Club Road in Mount Olive.
Flowers are welcome and memorials can be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
