KELVIN N. 'BOWIE' WARREN

Oct. 4, 1965-June 2, 2010

SEYMOUR, Ind. -- Kelvin Norvel "Bowie" Warren was the son of Mable and Paul Warren.

Kelvin was born Oct. 4, 1965, in Wayne County, N.C.

He departed this earthly life for his Heavenly home Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Schneck Memorial Hospital in Seymour, Ind.

Kelvin was educated in the Wayne County public schools. He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1983. He attended various colleges and universities and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University.

Kelvin served in and retired from the United States Air Force.

In September 2008, he moved to Seymour, Ind., where he spent the remainder of his life.

Kelvin leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Paul and Mable Warren; a loving and devoted soul mate, Mary Davis; a daughter, LaTraya Davis; two sons, Tyler and Ryan Warren; a brother, Eddie Raynard; two sisters, Ivey Gill and Vinita Warren; grandmothers, Ethel McNeil and Edna Raymond; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Headquarters building, 1800 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro. The Rev. Charles Howard will provide words of inspiration. Following the services in the church, the E.M. Matthews classic angelic white fleet will escort Mr. Warren and his precious family to Wayne Memorial Park for interment rites. There, the United States Air Force Honor Guard will render Mr. Warren his final military rites. Although his bereaved family and many friends will only have this earthly situate to visit and reminisce, Kelvin is walking those streets paved with gold, looking down on those that are still here, giving them encouragement to carry on.

There will be a public visitation held Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. It's during this time that the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will pay homage to their falling brother in way of their memorial tribute.
