PIKEVILLE -- Louis Edward Marriner Jr., 74, Bartlett Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Homegoing services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A private burial will be held at Wayne Memorial Park for the family.
Louis was born July 4, 1935, in Wayne County to the late Louis E. Marriner Sr. and Sarah Best Marriner.
He was owner and operator of Olde Barn Originals, where he was a master at trade of wrought iron fabrications.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Patti Sue Marriner; three sons, Louis Edward "Chip" Marriner III and wife, Frances, of Clayton, Sterling Marriner of Raleigh and Richard "Ricky" Marriner of Goldsboro; a daughter, Christy Lee Marriner of Charlotte; a brother, Brooks Marriner and wife, JoAnn, of Sleepy Creek; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with one on the way; three nephews; and two stepchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, www.howellfuneral.com.
