KINSTON -- Emmett Robinson Smith Sr., 81, died Tuesday at home.
Funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church, with Emmett R. Smith Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born May 28, 1928, in Lenoir County to the late Quincy Adam Smith Sr. and Mamie Croom Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean King Smith, and two children.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times they will be at the home.
