FACIE W. WEEKS
Dec. 12, 1922-March 28, 2010
PIKEVILLE -- Facie W. Weeks, 87, went to be with his Lord Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Bill Rose, the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. King White officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Facie was born in Sampson County to the late Joseph Henry Weeks and Ida Thompson Weeks.
He was an active member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church and faithfully attended there until his declining health.
Facie owned and operated Weeks Rentals, but his passion was cars. For many years he traded and sold cars as owner of City Motor Sales, but he got great pleasure in maintaining his antique car collection.
For those who knew him, Facie will be remembered as a generous, caring, compassionate man and loyal friend to so many.
Facie is survived by his wife, Faye B. Weeks; his daughter-in-law, Tania Weeks of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Jerry Worrell and wife, Shirley, Shannon Pate and husband, Chris, David Weeks Jr. and wife, Cindy, Jamie Weeks and Anthony Weeks and wife, Shannon; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, James Henry Weeks and David Facie Weeks; his sister, Annabelle Davis; and his brothers, Joseph Herman Weeks, Alton "Tebo" Weeks, Hubert Weeks and Henry Weeks.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Gideons International, P.O. Box 10093 Goldsboro, N.C., 27532.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
