DURHAM -- Geraldine Robinson Thornton, 87, formerly of Goldsboro, died Sunday morning.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will be at Markham Memorial Gardens in Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Thornton was born in Birmingham, Ala., Jan. 23, 1923, to the late Jeff and Helen Brooks Bailey.
She is survived by three children.
A viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
