WILMINGTON -- Carl Edwin Malpass Sr. died Sunday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter after an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. David C. Wade officiating.
Born Feb. 10, 1938, in Goldsboro, he was the son of Carl and Mildred Horne Malpass.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jacqueline Taylor Malpass, and three children.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church and at other times at the home.
Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service of Wilmington is handling the arrangements.
