ROY RANDOLPH JONES
Roy Randolph Jones, 71, went to be with his Lord early Sunday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and church family.
Roy was born in Johnston County on June 11, 1938, to the late Clayborn B. and Lillie Mae Batten Jones. He had worked and retired from over 46 years of service as a truck driver. Roy was a member of Pineview Baptist Church, where he was a faithful servant and where he served as a deacon. The love in Roy's life was God, family and friends. He will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church, 3357 U.S. 117 N., Goldsboro. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Turbyville and the Rev. Aubrey Jones officiating.
Roy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annie Mae Young Jones; his daughter, Terry Ann and husband, Richard Greene of Charlotte; his sons, Mitch Jones and wife, Renee of Goldsboro, Ricky Jones and Roger Jones of Goldsboro and Tony Jones of Wisconsin; a brother, C.B. Jones; and two sisters, Faye Harper and Louise Phillips.
