MADGE TAYLOR

HIXSON, Tenn. -- Madge Taylor, 89, passed away Saturday.
The funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with father Mike Creason officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
She was a former resident of Athens, Tenn., and lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Madge was a beautiful quilter and knitter. She loved her garden and flowers and was a friend of the birds.
Madge was dearly loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, John E. (Jo) Peckingpaugh Jr. of Hixson; daughters, Sara (Jimmy) Tucker of Hixson, Janie Rayburn of Johnson City, Tenn., Mary Sue (Robert) Praster of Hixson, Katherine Knight of Houston, Texas, and Sandra (James) Land of Englewood, Tenn.; brother, John B. Faulk of Mount Olive; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Faulk; siblings, Sula Bunch, Braxton Faulk, Walter Faulk, Wayne Faulk and Ernest Faulk; and her husbands, John Earnest Peckingpaugh and James Harvey Taylor.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7, with a prayer service at 7, at the funeral home.
