Elaine Anderson Holder, 80, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Bethel Church, with Pastor Steve Holder, the Revs. Gene Turner and Willie Teachey officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Mem-orial Cemetery.
Mrs. Holder was born in Pender County on June 9, 1929, to the late Elbert Anderson and Callie Moore Anderson. Along with her husband of 58 years, the Rev. C.R. Holder, they pastored 11 churches, beginning their ministry in 1952. Mrs. Holder and her husband founded and pastored Bethel Church for 30 years. Over the 58 years of ministering with her husband, she organized ladies auxiliaries, youth choirs, youth camps and was a church bookkeeper for 25 years. She also was a Bible school and Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Chris Holder Daly of Goldsboro; her sons, Ray Holder of Pikeville and Pastor Steve Holder and wife, Sharon, of Pikeville; and her grandchildren, Rich Holder, Anthony Holder, Blake Holder and Matthew Holder. She is also survived by her sisters, Theresa Maddron of Winter Park, Fla., and Rachel Dail of Wilmington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Keith Daly and her brother, Maurice Anderson.

The family will receive friends Monday following the service at Bethel Church and other times at the home of Chris Daly, 508 Perkins Road, Pikeville.
