James L. Darden, 63, 119 W. Hooks River Road, died Tuesday evening.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at Darden Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, with pastor Carlton Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Darden, and 12 childen.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8:30 p.m. with the famly present to receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
