TURKEY -- Janie Elizabeth Hobbs Starling, 56, 5430 Dave Bright Road, died at her home Sunday.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at House of Prayer Church, 5497 Dave Bright Road in Turkey.
Born in 1953 in Wayne County, Mrs. Starling was the daughter of the late Hubert Soul and Pearline Sutton Hobbs.
She is survived by her husband, Uda Ray Starling; three daughters, Heather Starling and Danielle Starling both of Turkey and Courtney Melton of Richland; five brothers, Nelson Honrine of Atlanta, Ga., Glenn Honrine of Fort Myers, Fla., Scott Hobbs and Dock Hobbs both of Goldsboro and Mike Hobbs of Turkey; and one grandson, Damien Starling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B. Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
Royal-Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
