FAISON -- Doris Ruth Rich Ellis, 92, 1131 N. N. Ellis Road, died Tuesday at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Michelle Clark and the Rev. Henry Swanzy officiating.
Mrs. Ellis, born in Holly Hill, Fla., was the daughter of the late Luther Rich and Salley Carter Rich and the widow of Norman Norfleet Ellis.
She was a retired bookkeeper for the farming and produce business and was a member of Faison United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Ellis Bryson of Faison; two grandsons, T. D. Bryson V of Faison and Norman Ellis Bryson of Richlands; four great-grandsons, Thad Bryson VI, Daniel Bryson, Dylon Bryson and Dalton Bryson; and a sister, Sarah Edding of Orlando, Fla.
A sister, Lenida Rich, and four brothers, Leon, James, Carl and Jerry Rich, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home of Ruth Ellis, 1366 N. Ellis Road, Faison.
