GARNER -- Diane Overman Brooks, 59, passed away Wednesday at Wake Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church in Goldsboro, with Rudy Peedin and the Rev. Vernon Brown officiating.
Born Feb. 10, 1950, in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Catherine Overman.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Brooks of Garner; a daughter, Lisa Satterwhite and husband, James, of Garner; son, Ricky Brooks; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Bettie Godwin and husband, Tom, of Clinton; and a brother, Bryan Overman and wife, Glenda, of Rosewood.
The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
