JAMES E. CONWAY

James Earl Conway, 69, of 2379-C U.S. Hwy. 13 N., passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
James was born in Pitt County on Feb. 25, 1940, to the late Charlie Conway and Christine Andrews Conway. He was a retired truck driver for Consolidated Hide Company.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Wesley Jarman officiating.
James is survived by his wife, Louise Whitley Conway; his daughters, Teresa Gwaltney and husband, Joe, Patricia Wiggins and husband, Danny, Frances Aycock and Tina Southward and husband, Todd, all of Goldsboro; his sister, Peggy Reed of Waynesboro, Va.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Conway Smith, Jo Anna Gwaltney, Shay Slapper, Timothy Aycock, Johnathon Aycock and Joshua Wall; his great- grandchildren, Emma Kathleen Smith, D'Andre Slapper and Leaha Slapper and a special sister-in-law, Diane Whitley.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Conway.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Joe and Teresa Gwaltney, 450 Frank St., Goldsboro.
