COLUMBIA, S.C. -- A celebration of life for Lyndell McGowan, 58, formerly of Duplin County, who died Saturday at Palmetto-Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, will be held Friday at noon at St. Stephens AME Zion Church of Warsaw, with Dr. Jerry Parker officiating. He will be laid to rest in McGowan Cemetery in Kenansville.
He was born Nov. 27, 1950, to Gurnie Miller and Emma Ruth McGowan.
There will be a viewing tonight from 5 to 7 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel.
Rhodes Funeral Home of Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
