Died June 14, 2009
FORT. WASHINGTON, Md. -- John Nathan "Big Man" Cox, 73, died Sunday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hemingway Temple AME Church. Interment will be June 24 at 10 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
He was a retired postal worker.
He was the loving husband of Jean Rowe Cox, devoted father of Jackie Cox, Johnette Brown, Joey Cox and the late Jerry Cox and dear brother of Charles and Nathaniel Cox.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at Hemingway Temple AME Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hemingway Temple AME Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home of Waldorf, Md.
