Lucy Artis Williams, 57, 901 S. Andrews Ave., died Tuesday morning at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Her life will be celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) Church in Pikeville, with elder Kenneth Vaughn officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
Precious and sacred memories remain with her husband, Nathan Williams of the home; her children, Pia Pollard and Terishina Canady of Goldsboro and Montisha Artis of Maryland; her siblings, Vernice Artis and Dorothy Grantham of Pikeville, Sammie Artis of Dudley, Robert Artis, Larry Artis and Lacy Artis of Goldsboro and Hazel Whitely of Wilson; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
