EDDIE J. CORBETT

Eddie Joseph Corbett, 53, died Wednesday.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a 2 p.m. service in the chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at their home, 142 EW Lane, Goldsboro.
Eddie was born in Wayne County Nov. 13, 1955, to Joseph "Joe" Corbett of Goldsboro and the late Sarah Brock Corbett.
Eddie was employed with Horizon Forest Products in Wilmington and was a member of the Greenville Home Builders Association.
In addition to his father, Eddie is survived by his wife, Teresa Smith Corbett; his children, Brian Corbett and wife, Ashley, of Greenville, Kyle Corbett and wife, Kelli, of Goldsboro and Emily Corbett of the home; his brother, Kenneth Corbett and wife, Sharen, of Goldsboro; and his sisters, Robin Ivey and husband, Edd, of Goldsboro and Tammie Allsbrook and husband, Eric, of Goldsboro; his stepmother, Sina Corbett of Goldsboro; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Carolyn Smith of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
He was eagerly awaiting his first grandchild, Izzie Corbett, who is expected in July.
