Myrna Bell Summerlin, 77, 1418 Boyette Drive, died Thursday at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Norris officiating. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Myrna was born on Jan. 7, 1932, in Sonora, Washington County, Ark., to the late Charley Adam Collier and Martha Ellen Woodward, and lived in Goldsboro for over 40 years. Myrna was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gregory Summerlin in 2003, a sister Charlotte Chase of Colorado and a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Saulmon.
Myrna is survived by a daughter, Lu Saulmon and husband, Larry, of Goldsboro; a son, Walter Gregory Summerlin Jr. and wife, Cathy, of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, May Irmscher of California, Bea Lane of Montana and sister-in-law Nellie Ryan of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, Bill Summerlin and wife, Anna, of Bryan, Texas; three grandchildren, Gregory and wife, Amanda, David and fiancée, Abby, and Elizabeth Saulmon of Goldsboro; two step grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters of California and Kansas.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
