Charles Y. Dnaiels, 72, of Newton Grove, passed away Monday at Sampson Medical Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at West and Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove with visitation to follow the service. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne McLamb, Timmy Sutton, Nelson Royal, Danny McCullen, Allen Mac Giddens and Patrick Usher.
Mr. Daniels was born April 20, 1936, in Newton Grove, to the late Sanford and Annie Mae McCullen Daniels. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Relmond Daniels and Stacy Drew Daniels.
Mr. Daniels retired from the farming industry in 1992, but stayed active with other business endeavors since that time.
He is survived by two children, Leigh Ann Daniel Kapiko of Hampstead and Lamont Daniel of Dunn; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Cotton Hinson of Goldsboro and Ona Mae Royal Edwards of Lumber Bridge; and his very special friend and companion, Janice McLamb of Newton Grove.
