James Richard Moore, 68, passed away on Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
A service to celebrate Richard's life will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. John Hill, Joe Strouse and Dale Sauls officiating. The family will greet friends in the fellowship hall following the service and other times at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Everette Franks, 705 Clarence Court, Goldsboro.
Richard was born in Wayne County on Oct. 13, 1939 to the late James Victor Moore and Ermine Hales Moore. He was a maintenance foreman with Goldsboro Milling Company. Richard was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Richard is survived by his sister, Carol Franks and husband, Everette, of Goldsboro; his brother, Edward Moore and wife, DeAnne, of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church Relay for Life, 604 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
