FREMONT -- Flora Proctor Tripp, 88, 1066 Highway 222 E., went to be with her Lord on Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Tripp was born in Wilson County on Feb. 1, 1920, to the late Luther and Clyde Proctor. She was a member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Barnes and her husband, Larry, of Fremont; two granddaughters, Rebecca Barnes and Bridget Barnes of Fremont; two sisters, Peggy Rodgers and her husband, George, of Fremont and Myrtle Ivey of Fremont; and one brother, Thomas Proctor and his wife, Linda, of Fremont; two sister-in-laws, Loydene Proctor of Fremont and Belle Proctor of Fremont; and a special friend, Brandon Seagle.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tripp was preceded in death by her husband, John "Frog" Tripp and three brothers, Bobby Proctor, Dennis Proctor and Leland Proctor.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service on Tuesday evening and other times at the residence.
