FAISON -- Emma Lewis Jones, 87, of East Main Street, Faison, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Among Mrs. Jones' survivors are her children, Earl Hill Jones and wife, Nancy, of Goldsboro, Robert Owen Jones Sr. and wife, Benita, of Calypso, Phillip M. Jones and wife, Becky, of Connecticut; daughter-in-law, Joyce Jones of Florida; sister, Irene Jackson of Newton Grove; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by husband, Louis Hill Jones; sons, Jessie L. Jones and Jerry P. Jones; daughter, Emma Louise Jones; parents, Charlie P. and Emma S. Lewis; granddaughter, Hope Phonchanch; and great-grandchild, Alan Seth Phonchanch.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Miller Chapel Church. Visitation will follow the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Whaley Cemetery in Richlands.
