NEWARK, N.J. -- Claude Best, 83, formerly of Wayne County, died Tuesday in Newark. He was the son of the late Joseph Isaac and Hattie Thompson Best.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Philemon Missionary Baptist Church, Newark, N.J. The family will receive friends Monday at the church from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Best is survived by his wife, Elsie Best of the home; two children; and one brother, Peter Best of Goldsboro, N.C.
Cotton Funeral Home of Newark, N.J., is in charge of the arrangements.
