LUCILE L. ROEDER

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Lucile Frances Lane Roeder, 92, died Thursday.
Born May 22, 1915, in Chatham County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Julius Lane and Della Hughes Lane. She was the widow of Charles Roeder and was sister of the late Bill, Oscar, and Ben Lane. She was of the Lutheran faith.
She had lived in Baltimore, also in Smithfield, Kenly and Calypso, N.C., and returned to Baltimore in 1987. She was employed as a nurse in the private and public sectors, was a nursing instructor and professor, and was a health department supervisor/coordinator. She was a member of the Who's Who of American Women due to her knowledge and practice of nursing and other medical related fields.
Her survivors include four children, Chad Roeder of Baltimore, Sally Dudderar of Newark, Del., Eric Roeder of Houston, Texas, and Frances Roeder of Baltimore; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, N.C. The Rev. Bill Ordelt will be officiating.
