MINYA D. CREECH

PINE LEVEL -- Minya Davis Creech, 85, died Monday in the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Pine Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Erminia Fogle Davis and the widow of L. P. Creech. She was a retired public school teacher having taught in the Home Economics department at Smithfield-Selma Senior High School for many years.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are her daughters, DeLane Creech Tart of Pine Level, Dottie Creech Pearce of Smithfield and Sue Creech Cannon of Greenville; brothers, Dewey C. Davis and C. Keith Davis, both of Orangeburg, S.C., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Parrish Funeral Home, Selma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church, P. O. Box 23, Pine Level, N.C. 27568 or Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
