David Harper, 70, 1512 Juniper St., died Friday. He was a native of Greene County and was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Maggie Smith Harper.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. Wilson Highway, Goldsboro, with Dr. William Barber II officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery in Duplin County.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Thomas Harper of the home; daughters, Davlyn N. Williams of Raleigh and Nellise Malcolm of Winterville; brothers, Calvin Harper of Beulaville and Robert Reddick Jr. of Goldsboro; sisters, Margie Geigher of Goldsboro and Mattie Whitfield of Washington, D.C.; and six grandchildren.
No viewing will be held. Family and friends signed the register Saturday at McIntyre Funeral Home at 900 S. George St.
