Mary Bell Ward, 81, 1714 E. Holly St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church,1314 Ben Brew-ington Court.
She was born to the late Leonza Pope and Fannie Thompson Ward. Mrs. Ward was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Francis Ward Jackson; three brothers: Robert, Mark and Mac Ward; two sisters, Gladys Taylor and Ida Mae Davis.
She is survived by three daughters; Paulette Matthews and La Terrie Ward, both of Goldsboro, and Willette Barnes of Greensboro; one son, Stanley A. Ward of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; four sisters, Etta Bizzell of Tallahassee, Fla., Ruth Stevens and Marie Best of Goldsboro and Pearl Lena Dixon of New Bern; two brothers, Eddie Lee Ward of Goldsboro, and Henry Ward of Pleasantville, N.J.
Viewing will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro.
