RUBY B. JACKSON

Ruby Brown Jackson, 69, died Sunday morning at the Brian Center surrounded by family. A dedicated servant of God, she now resides with Him in Heaven.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Wayne County on March 6, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents who reared her Louis and Bettie Raynor Ezzell. She was married to the late Thurman R. Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the United in Christ Church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Boyd and the Rev. Ira Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Penny Jordan and husband, Ret. Msgt. Dallas C. Jordan III, of Goldsboro; her sons, Sam Jackson and wife, Paulette, of Rosewood and Jeff Jackson and wife, Julie, of Goldsboro; her sisters, Hilda Jones of Goldsboro, Everlene Combs and husband, Dick, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Teresa Holland of Goldsboro; her brother, Bill Brown and wife, Lorraine, of Goldsboro; and her grandchildren, Bethany and Madison Jordan, Mandy Thompson, April Brantham and husband, Clint, Taylor, Meagan and Drew Jackson; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Sarah Thompson, Cooper and Samuel Brantham.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a sister, Doris Denning; brothers, Needham Brown Jr. and Mack Brown.
The Jackson family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to their mother by the staff of Alterra Sterling House and Brian Center Rehabilitation Unit.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Dallas and Penny Jordan, 618 Adler Lane, Goldsboro.
