THOMASVILLE - McNeal Phauls, 77, 104 Tremont St., died Friday in Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial following in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church 30 minutes before the service and other times at the home.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Strickland Phauls of the home; a daughter, Ann Phauls Valentine of Fort Lee, N.J.; four sons, McNeal Phauls Jr. of Jefferson City, Mo., James and Curtis Phauls and Troy Phauls Truesdale, all of Bronx, N.Y.; six sisters, Sarah Robinson, Dorothy Phauls, Barbara and Bertha McKinney, all of Bronx, N.Y., Christine Bass and Janice Kornegay, both of Mount Olive; three brothers, Thaddeus Phauls of Oxford, Md., Donald Phauls of Temple Hill, Md., and Norman Miller of Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by S. E. Thomas Funeral Service, 110 Highland Ave.
