STANTONSBURG - Lonnie Jernigan, 77, died Saturday. Funeral services will be tonight, 7 p.m, First Baptist Church, followed by visitation. Interment will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Stantonsburg Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Kim Jernigan of Stantonsburg; daughter, Terri Maxon of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Sauls of Eureka, Bernice Bradshaw and Gladys Reeves of Wilson, and Myrtie Tingen of Florence, S.C.
