MARY J. WILSON

Mrs. Mary J. McCullen Wilson, 78, of 203 Woodridge Drive, died Thursday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 at Goshen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Joyner officiating. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Henry "Bud" McCullen and Vivanna Miller McCullen, and was the widow of Thomas Willard Wilson. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Bryce Swinson, and a brother, Bill McCullen. She was a member of Goshen United Methodist Church and was a member of their Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from the Hargrove Elementary School lunchroom and then worked at Mount Olive Retirement Village as a cook.
Surviving are a daughter, Della Wilson and husband, Larry, of Mount Olive; a son, James T. Wilson and wife, Johann, of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Kristy Swinson Sutton, Kylie Swinson Hinson, and Karen Lee Swinson, all of Mount Olive, and Aaron Wilson, of Winston-Salem; Four great-grandchildren, Garrett, Bailey, and Sydnee Sutton, and Tatum Hinson; a niece, Phyllis Edwards; a nephew, Billy McCullen; a sister-in-law, Mildred McCullen; and a very special friend, Eloise Hart.
The family received friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, and will also receive friends at other times at the home of her daughter, 203 Woodridge Drive.
