PIKEVILLE -- Jesse Worth Overbee, 61, 305 Carla Ann Dr., died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James E. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Overbee was born in Wayne County Jan. 20, 1945, to Middis Harrison Overbee of Goldsboro and the late Braxton Otto Overbee. He worked as an automobile salesman for 20 years and served in the North Carolina National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Millard Overbee; a son, Scott Overbee and wife, Kelly, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Cynthia Aehlich and husband, Bill, of Tinton Falls, N.J.; a granddaughter, Lindsay Aechlich; brothers, B.J. Overbee and wife, Jean, and Adrian Overbee and wife, Jackie, of Goldsboro; and nieces, Tanya O. Johnson, Lisa O. Rice and Tina Overbee.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville, 27834.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
