ELOISE P. FIELDS

Pikeville - Eloise Peele Fields, age 84, formerly of Gurley Dairy Rd. and Countryside Assisted Living, passed away on Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Interment will follow at Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville.
Ms. Fields was born in Wilson County to the late David F. Peele and Atsy Durham Peele. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville and retired from J.C. Penney Department Store in Goldsboro.
She is survived by one son, David Fields and his wife, Cathy, of Chocowinity; three daughters, Carol Teachey and her husband, Jimmy, of Lucama, Billie Jean Whitfield and her husband, Jim, of Chocowinity and Patricia Walker and her husband, Dave, of Chocowinity; one sister, Jessie Mothershead of Pikeville; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Fields was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Bill" Fields; two brothers, Joseph Peele and David Peele and one sister, Eula Watson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont and other times at the home of her daughter, Carol Teachey, 6545 Hwy. 117 in Lucama.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27533 or to the charity of one's choice.
