PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Charles J. Smith Sr., formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Saint Agnes Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at Second Mount Zion Baptist Church of Philadelphia.
He was the son of the late Clement and Hattie Smith, formerly of Goldsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Cornelia Smith of the home; two sons, Charles and Billy Smith of Philadelphia; three daughters, Doris Mickens, Carolyn S. Flowers and Deborah Smith of Philadelphia; two sisters, Alice Martin of Philadelphia and Mary E. Harvey of Goldsboro; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
