SADIE C. MARTIN

PRICETOWN -- Sadie Cabral Martin, 88, 282 Atlas Price Road, Seven Springs, in the Pricetown community, died early Wednesday morning at her home.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the W. E. Martin Family Cemetery located at the residence in the Pricetown community with the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. John Isenberg officiating.
Born in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Cabral. She was the widow of William Edgar Martin.
Her working career included being a homemaker, farmer, painter, seamstress and a licensed practical nurse for which her studies began at age 49, and for 12 years thereafter, she was employed with Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and was a former member of the church choir.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William E. "Bill" Martin, Jr. and Vivian S. Martin of Seven Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Martin Heath and Douglas Heath of Kinston; four grandchildren, Sherri Martin Crawley of Kinston, Angela Heath Hood of Kinston, Sara Heath May of LaGrange and Jamie Gunter of Albertson; three great-grandchildren, Ethan May, Pallas Hood and Josh Allen Crawley; and another grandchild, Gavin May, soon to be born.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home.
