ASHLEY G. HOPEWELL

Ashley George "A.G." Hopewell, formerly of Goldsboro, died peacefully on Saturday.
He retired from the jewelry business in 1988 and served in the U.S. Army in his earlier years. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Goldsboro and served as a deacon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Creel Hopewell; his son, Bruce Hopewell of Morehead City; three daughters, Denise Avery and Charlene Pennuell, both of Morehead City and Carolyn Blackmon of Raleigh; a sister, Jacqueline Tyner of Wilmington; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Charlotte Johnson, preceded him in death.
Arrangements are by Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City.
