WILMINGTON -- Eris "Cotton" Davis died Saturday at Davis Health Care.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
She was born March 13, 1923, in Union County, the daughter of the late Wheeler Sturdivant and Hattie Barrett Sturdivant.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Jasper D. "Jap" Davis of the home; a daughters, Susan D. Schlotter and husband, Jim, of Crescent City, Calif., and Jan D. Cagle and husband, Bob, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Sarah-Davis Cagle of Boone and Rob Cagle of Raleigh; and a sister, Pat Sturdivant of Marshville.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Market Street chapel.
