PIKEVILLE -- Wanda Mayhorn Albertson, 78, of 105 Lindsey Brook Lane died Friday at home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. The Rev. Devin Pickett will officiate.
Mrs. Alberston was born in Ohio to the late Albert and Margaret Shipley Mayhorn.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Burk of Mew Middletown, Ohio, James Burk of Struthers, Ohio, and Thomas Burk of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Donna Farland of Pikeville and Janet Jones of Mexico Beach, Fla.; one stepson, James Albertson of Beulaville; five stepdaughters, Grace Rogers of Winston-Salem, Ann Hunter of Fountain Town, Betty Jo Mobley of Wallace, Margaret Moready of Winston-Salem and Linda Kay Sanderson of Chinquapin; two sisters, Freeda Mayhorn of Pikeville and Kathleen Conti of Medford, Ore.; 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alberston was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Albertson; a daughter, Linda Carol Salas; and one brother.
The family will receive friends after the service on Monday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
