Janice Davis Weaver, 65, of 300 South Dock Street, Fremont, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held today at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Fu-neral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Pastor John Scott and Dr. Don Sauls will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Boyette Family Cemetery in Wilson.
Ms. Weaver was born in Wilson County to the late John C. Davis and Vivian Morgan Davis. She was a member of New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Lucama where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four sons, Randy Weaver and his wife, Blanche, of Grantham, Michael Weaver and his wife, Melissa, of Pikeville, Chris Weaver and his wife, Dana, of Pikeville and Dale Weaver and his wife, Stephanie, of Pikeville; three daughters, Pam Thigpen and her husband, Mike, of Pikeville, Sherry Rose and her husband, Eugene, of Fremont and Amanda Sarvis and her husband, Michael, of Pikeville; one brother, Gerald Davis of Fremont; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Shelia Strickland of Bailey.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Weaver was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Holland.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight at Howell Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
