ALBERTSON -- Jose Ines Amaya Chavarria, 28, formerly of Mt. Olive, died Saturday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital of Greenville.
A service of celebration will be held today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home of Mount Olive.
Another service will be held Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m. at Vision de Dios Church located behind his residence. His remains will be returned to his native El Salvador for burial.
He was owner and operator of Chavarria Roofing LLC. He attended Vision de Dios.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Francisco Chavarria, and a brother.
He is survived by his wife, Evangelina Chavarria Guzman of the home; a son, Jose Neftaly Chavarria of the home; two daughters, Adrianna Lizbeth Chavarria and Yuliona Verencia Chavarria of the home; his mother, Antonio de Jesus Amaya Ramos of El Salvador; three sisters, Maria Santos Berrillos of New York, Carmela de Concepcion Chavarria of Faison and Salvadora Amaya of El Salvador; and seven brothers, Herman Chavarria of Mount Olive, Adan Amaya Chavarria, Andres Amaya Chavarria and Juan Carlos Amaya Chavarria of New York and Reynaldo Chavarria and Jose Santos Chavarria of El Salvador.
Arrangements are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home.
