The funeral for Gerald Olene Carmichael, 57, of Akron, Ohio (formerly of Wayne County) will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Burning Bush Holy Church of Faison with Pastor Arto Pickett officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
She died Sunday at her home.
She was the daughter of Luevance Armwood Teachey of Goldsboro and the late Raymond J. Teachey.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Harlie Carmichael Jr. of the home; a son, Linwood Carmichael of Akron; three sisters, Deborah Artis of Goldsboro, Carolyn Lewis of Faison and Carol Higgins of Bellville, Ill.; four brothers, Raymond Teachey of Warsaw, Terry Teachey and Willie Teachey of Goldsboro and Anthony W. Teachey of Raleigh; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her father-in-law, Harlie Carmichael Sr., 421 Nelson St., Mount Olive.
