Died Aug. 20, 2006
The funeral for Dorothy Wallace, 64, 2520 N.C. 24 west, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Holiness Church with Pastor Everlena Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Mathis Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Duplin General Hospital.
She was born in Duplin County to the late Toomer and Eva Bobbitt Mathis. She was employed with Bay Valley Foods of Turkey.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Wallace of the home; two sons, retired First Sgt. Dennis Wallace of Hope Mills and Tyrhon Wallace of Goldsboro; three daughters, Shirley A. Wallace and Velvadine Wallace of Garner and Mary Charlene Wallace of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Charles Mathis of Warsaw; three sisters, Catherine Wallace and Eloise Mathis Morrisey of Warsaw and Mary M. Savage of Magnolia; and seven grandchildren.
The viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
