Helen Rae Keel Best, 86, of Johnson Court Apartments in Mount Olive, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Richard Hathaway officiating. The burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Best was a retired sales clerk with White's Department Store, which was formerly in Mount Olive. She was the daughter of the late William Riley Keel and Bessie Parker Keel, and the widow of Oscar A. Best.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Jones of Clinton and Jane Lewis and her husband, Gary, of Goldsboro; and a sister, Sarah Hines Brown of Wilmington.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Daniel Kell, and two sisters, Frances K. Carter and Ruby K. Jackson.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time.
