RALPH SEYMOUR

Mr. Ralph Berkley Seymour, 75, of 128 Vance Drive, died Wednesday, surrounded by his family, after a brief stay at Kitty Askins Hospice Center .
Ralph was born in Wayne County on April 30, 1931, to the late Albert Gladys Seymour and Vonnie Jackson Seymour. He was a retired television technician with Sylvania and had worked with Americal. Ralph was a member of Blended Fellowship Church.
For those who knew him, he will be remembered as a generous, caring, compassionate man and loyal friend to so many. The love in Ralph's life was God, family and friends. As an avid woodworker, Ralph can be remembered as giving a piece of his woodwork to all of his family.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Kennedy and Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Seymour is survived by his wife and loving caregiver of fifty years, Donna Deaver Seymour; his son, Rev. Doug Seymour and wife, Melanie, of Pikeville; his daughter, Cathy Pittman and husband, Jarvis "B.J."; a brother, Rev. Howard Seymour and wife, Connie, of Goldsboro; his sisters, Latha Jones and husband, J.A., of Mount Olive, Viola S. Britt and husband, Rev. Billy Britt, of Greensboro, Iola S. Barrow of Goldsboro, and Alberta Faye Seymour of Mount Olive; and his grandchildren, Derek Seymour, Kayla Seymour, Jason Pittman and Jennifer Pittman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Seymour.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 7 p.m. and following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
