Funeral services today
NEWTON GROVE -- Gary M. Warren, 52, of 950 Kenan Weeks Road, Newton Grove, died Thursday at Sampson Regional Hospital in Clinton.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Piney Green Disciples of Christ Church in Newton Grove. Pastor Fernando B. Geddie will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Dunn.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife, Janie L. Warren of the home; sons Tony Robinson of Newton Grove and Marcus A. Jacobs of the home; daughters Evangelina Sutton and husband, Oscar, of Raleigh; Jacqueline Owens and husband, Ceasar; Angela Owens and husband, Joey; Nancy R. Jacobs and Tammy S. Jacobs, all of Clinton; sisters Terry M. Thompson of Dunn, Olivia Pickett and husband, the Rev. Warren Pickett, of Jacksonville; Arlene Williams and husband, David, of Newton Grove; and Delphine Robinson and husband, Bill, of Newton Grove; brotherss Ernest Warren and wife, Jewel, of Goldsboro; Gene B. Singleton and wife, Theresa, of Hempstead, N.Y. and Willie F. Warren of Dunn; his mother, Ernestine Warren of Dunn; and step-mother, JoAnne Warren of Newton Grove.
The viewing was held Saturday at Dafford Funeral Home Chapel in Dunn. The family received friends Saturday evening at the funeral home.
