Anthony Melvin Sybeldon, 82, of 804 Pittman St., died Wednesday at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mr. Melvin is survived by a stepdaughter, Geraldine Tew Schumacher and husband, Jimmy, of Charlotte; a stepson, John Tew and wife Verla of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Joy Tew Bissette of Wilson, Julie Schmid of Wilson and Eric Schmid of Rock Hill, S.C.; and four great-grandchildren, Katlin Bissette, Nikki Schmid, Crystal Schmid and Breanna Schmid.
