FRANKLIN PEELE

John Franklin Peele, 76, of the Saulston Community, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Rick Ward and the Rev. Larry Bostian officiating.
Mr. Peele was born in Wayne County to the late Randle Peele and Eula Davis Peele. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Saulston United Methodist Church and the Saulston Fire Department.
He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis P. Neal, and her husband, Greg, of Goldsboro; one son, Jeff Peele, and his wife, Dawn, of Snow Hill; two sisters, Peggy Walston of Saulston and Rachel Fields of Pikeville; one brother, Jarvis E. Peele of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Christie P. Amburn, Christopher Peele, Derek Neal, Matt Neal, Carmen Bright and Connor Bright; his great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Amburn and Tryston Peele; and his special friend, Lillie Best of Saulston.
The family will receive friends today from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Phyllis and Greg Neal, 315 Community Drive, Goldsboro.
