JEAN EDMUNDSON
March 30, 1932-July 22, 2006
PIKEVILLE - Barbara Jean Edmundson, 74, of 300 W. Church Street, died Saturday at her home.
Ms. Edmundson was born in Wayne County to the late Frank Edmundson and Eula Mae Ginn Edmundson. She was a textile design graduate of State College. Ms. Edmundson taught high school science before retiring as a social worker with Cherry Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. David Hollowell will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Ms. Edmundson is survived by her daughter, Camille Costa and husband Randy Prosser of Pikeville; grandchildren, Erik King and Kristen Prosser, both of Pikeville; and brother, Caswell Edmundson of Edenton.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Boyce Edmundson.
The family will receive friends today from 5-7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
